Congratulations to Randy Day 50-J and Jerry White 35-I who have been accepted to participate in the Veterans Freedom Honor Flight.
Jerry White 35-I
Jerry was in the Navy from 1955-1958. He was a Petty officer 3rd class electrician mate, on Surface ship LST Vernon County.

Jerry White 35-I
Randy is an 8-year Navy Veteran in submarine service from 1959-1967. Randy was a diesel engine man, on The Sablefish and Greenfish. On nuclear subs which was The Dace and Barb, he was a machinist mate operating the nuclear reactor and operating the engine room for propulsion. He came out as a MM1st class. He truly loved being in the Navy and at sea.rt description.

This program is solely to fly our veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials that stand in their honor. Veterans are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to WWII veterans and veterans with a terminal illness. The trip is all in one day, spending several hours at the World War II Memorial, and visiting oth
This program is solely to fly our veterans to Washington D.C. to visit the memorials that stand in their honor. Veterans are chosen on a first-come, first-served basis with priority given to WWII veterans and veterans with a terminal illness. The trip is all in one day, spending several hours at the World War II Memorial, and visiting other Washington D.C. landmarks. Randy will fly out September 28th from Fort Myers International Airport (RSW) and Jerry will fly out October 15th from Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). They need to be at their respective airports by 4:30 AM. Anyone is welcome to go to the airport to send them off or welcome them home. The flights arrive back the same day between 5-7 PM but can run late in the event of lightning strikes around the airport.
