Alan called the meeting to order at 6:05 pm
Alan led us in the Pledge of Allegiance
George Files came up and shared some humour as only George can…
He spoke of the changes within the community and the people who are leaving…and how much we will all miss them…he finished with some of his favourite sayings…
Ann read the notes from our Dec 14, 2022 general meeting

Greg thanked all the volunteers and participants, for a great Club Championship and Interclub…it was a great decision to hire the Men’s Club to take care of the food..
Our next scheduled golf tournament is Mon., April 3 for April Fools

Thanks to the Board, especially Past President Freda Bennett for all her work not only for the Club Championship and InterClub…but all the extra printing she takes care of

New Business
Shirley Beaton asked the board to approach the new pro/ELS about the 3, 6 month memberships
Alan spoke of Scotty Helmig who has attended one meeting so far…he told Alan that he is working short of staff…but plans to aggressively attack the weeds in May…right now everything is dormant…
This week he will spray for weeds..apply a liquid fertilizer
Address irrigation in May, June, July
He has a chronic shortage of help
Ron Graham asked about the condition of the ponds…
Alan responded that that is beyond the scope of the Golf Association
He suggested that is the HOA responsibility…
Margaret Pazner asked when the debris would be removed from the pond….Al remarked Tad and a helper have been working on the pond near the pool…it is a start
Ron Hutz requested the Golf Association provide both red & white wine for the Interclub…Mike Leslie (Man at Large) will look into price of small individual bottles… Freda asked about boxed wine….Mike says he would prefer not to have to pour it…individual bottles is the simplest way to go
Judy Chase asked about our new pro….she is concerned about the rumours she is hearing…concerned about all the changes he is trying to implement but not sure how long he will be here…she feels it is “his way…or the highway “
Dan Beamer asked about the proposed hot dog machine and cooler with beer etc in the pro shop
Alan replied that there is no approved license in place for that
