ELS Members Present: Bill Chapman, Scottie – Course Supervisor
Alan called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m.
Scottie addressed the following:
1) The new irrigation project should start mid to late April. It should take approximately 1 month to complete. Golfer have to be prepared to skip a hole when work is being done.
2) The priorities at this time are the tees, the fairways and the greens. An improvement is already being noticed in the 4 months that Scottie has been here.
3) Scotties pet- peeve is the unattractive sight of Hole # 5 from the Highway 41. This should be improved to make Lake Fairways appear more attractive. It is felt that the County should be trimming the tall weeds along the highway. Bill Chapman will look into whose responsibility it is.
4) Fertilizing will be done in late spring.
5) ELS will be asked to have Joshua Tree trim the bottom of the large tree on the left of the fairway on hole #3. They will also be asked to remove the tall dead tree on this hole.
6) This summer Scottie will address the wash out on holes 4, 5, 6, 9 and 13. They will be leveled and sodded.
7) Scottie would like to have the green airified. If it is done it will probably be in May and the course will be closed for 3 days.

1) Bill asked that all Boards should let him know of any concerns we have.
2) Night Golf will be held on February 18th. Signup sheets will be posted February 4th.
