I have been coming to Lake Fairways for 35 years, been a snowbird, working from here and in 2019 moved full time to this community.  My children and their children enjoy their trips here and also dream about having a place to retire to.  My Dad Bob Clarke served on the board and was proud of what they were able to accomplish.  I too have a strong desire to have an impact on this community as we work to rebuild and renew.

I was a vice president at JPMorgan Chase, I worked at the bank for 36 years in various positions, the longest stint was in corporate customer service as a troubleshooter. I strongly feel I have a skill set that would allow me to be an asset as one of your representatives on the HOA board.

My name is Julia Siegel, and I am a new resident of Lake Fairways, residing at

19384 Cedar Crest Court, 5-1. I am originally from Michigan and have lived all over that State. I have lived in Florida since 2016 and moved here from Fort Myers, Siesta Bay Resort, after my home was destroyed by Hurricane Ian. I think I would be a good addition to the board because of my interest in the community, my interest in helping my friends and neighbors. I enjoy working with people as I did in my career as a legal assistant and my employment with Sun Communities where I worked in the offices. I believe I have some good ideas which will be helpful to our community.

My name is Eddie Flynn and I have been a resident of Lake Fairway for almost 2 years. My wife, Connie and I lived in Cape Coral for 11 years and finally sold our home once our son, Peter graduated from high school. I am the father of 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl. We also have a fur child, our French bulldog, Jack. Jack is 2 years old and like any 2-year-old, she has a mind of her own and keeps us on our toes. While on vacation in TN, after traveling for about a month, we noticed an advertisement for our current home in Lake Fairways. He decided to purchase the home and it was the best decision we could have made. We totally enjoy living here and have made so many new friends, most are like family to us. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, bowling and learning to play golf. Believe me, Tiger Woods has nothing to worry about from me. I have been active within the community in Cape Coral as a PTA president for 3 years and then with BACA (bikers against child abuse) for over 6 years. I had to step down from both due to health issues. I miss both a lot. But now being a part of the Men’s club and HOA, I now have the opportunity to do things for this community. Together as a community, we have had several successful fund raisers for the Littleton School, CERT and with everyone’s help the new marquee outside the club house. As of September 2023, the HOA appointed me as a director of entertainment. With this appointment, I took on the job of making sure the community pool was taken care of. The new pool company has definitely stepped up to the task. The pool has never looked better since we moved in. I also am contact person for 3 cul de sacs and I try to make myself available to all and I hope everyone feels comfortable coming to me with any issues they may have. Now that my appointment is coming to an end in February 2024, I am running for a position on the HOA board and will continue to make this community one we can all be proud to live in.

My name is Sandra Duke residing on Green Valley Court 25-F since July 1, 2023.  My husband and I lost our home at Siesta Bay, Fort Myers during the hurricane.  We spent 9 months in Jamaica Bay and then made the move to Lake Fairways.  A good decision for us.  A fair number of residents from Siesta Bay have relocated here as well.

We have been residents of Florida for 7 years, moving down from Massachusetts. I worked in Boston for a real estate company as an executive assistant to a team of commercial real estate brokers for 21 years.  After coming to Fort Myers at the end of 2016 I took a job as a volunteer at a nursing/rehab facility associated with Health Park Hospital, a retail sales clerk at a clothing store, then a position in the kitchen at Siesta Bay for 5 seasons.  I also was on the HOA Board at Siesta Bay as Secretary for four years.  Since coming to Lake Fairways, I have volunteered at Bingo on Friday nights here in the clubhouse and started a volunteer position at the Littleton Elementary School in the Library.

I have enjoyed my time here in Lake Fairways and hope to get more involved in the goings-on here in the Park.

I ‘m Dave Gielow, a full-time resident of Lake Fairways since 2015.

Since moving here I’ve participated in the organization and running of Summer Fun for 5 years. Keeping the residents happy and involved has been my goal. 

I created Gator Races, now being run by our Community Fun, which is under the direction of Eddie Flynn. 

I’ve owned three businesses, and I am currently co-owner of All Ages Travel. We purchased our business to make Lake Fairways Adventurers as low cost as possible. 

A lot has changed in this community in the last few years.

 I want to join the HOA Board in hopes of bringing fairness and following the laws of the state, to make this community the best it can be for all of us.

Judy Ann Carson, and I am your current HOA secretary. I am running again for the HOA Board.  

I am very active in our community here in Lake Fairways. I am also past president of the Lake Fairways Women’s Club. I love our community and the accomplishments we have made here. Lake Fairways is a great community and I absolutely want to see it continue to thrive. 

I am originally from Michigan – “Go Blue” – and retired here in 2014. I have three married sons, three awesome grandchildren & one adorable great granddaughter.

I retired after 45 years in healthcare. I worked at the Detroit Medical Center and Oakwood Beaumont Health System as an RN. My passion and expertise were Intensive Care and the Operating Room.

My name is Rebecca Schoonover and I have lived at Mission Hills Court 47J since August 2023.  I have lived in Southwest Florida since 1988, I'm a veteran of the Air Force, and I'm currently a 2nd grade Gifted Teacher at Tropic Isles Elementary School in North Fort Myers.  

I made an excellent decision moving to Lake Fairways because this is a wonderful and vibrant community.  I have served on many committees and have had many managerial positions throughout my life and I am a team player.  

I feel I can be an asset to the board and help the community to continue to thrive.

My name is Richard Hayes, and I am running for a seat on the HOA Board of Directors.  I retired from Rome Strip Steel after 40 years as a production scheduler and a member of the advisory committee which served as mediator between management and employees.

I have lived in Lake Fairways for 17 years with my wife, Marty.  During this time, I have been president of the Men’s Club twice and a member of the HOA Board once.  The reason that I am running again is that I see how efficiently the present Board is operating and I would like to be a part of it.  Since I have been involved in many projects in this community, I feel that I can be of service to this Board. I also feel that I have a good reputation in Lake Fairways and I would like to pass on the ideas I have.
