The Annual Lake Fairways Christmas Cart Parade
will be on Monday and Tuesday December 9th and
10th. Judging for houses will be on Wednesday, 12/12.
One change this year for cart judging - In order to be
considered for a prize, carts must participate both nights.
It isn’t fair to deny half of the community the opportunity
to see a cart, and then have that cart win a prize.
To deflect questions at this time, NO ROUTE for the
parade has been determined, and probably won’t be
decided until the weekend just prior to December 9th.
If you are a new resident, you MUST SEE this special
event!! You can watch from your lanai or from the corner
of your main court street, depending on the route. Watch
for more details in the coming Informers and on the LF
Community & HOA Facebook pages.

This year's version of the Parade went off very well. It would not have been possible without the work of several volunteers and anonymous judges. A great big thank you goes out to the LFHOA, the LFWomen's Club, the LF Men's Club and a very generous anonymous donor.
Winners for the decorated Cul-de-sacs are: CDS19 (Deer Creek), CDS 48 (Mission Hills) and CDS 50 Tamarron.
In the Estates winners are: SB15 Howell, SB 14 King, SB 06 Dempsey and SB 11 Kibler.
Winning decorated houses are: 16A Martin; 16B Sheehan; 22D Files; 10 O Fournier; 34A Rose; 46D McCoy; 47N Lockwood and 57D Webster
Prizes for cart decorations will go to: 30 I Hutchinson;35 F Wills; 30 C Janvrin; 11B Dankel; 55 I Meissner, 2B Flynn; 7G Dissmeyer; 3K Glover; 33 D Williams and 37 F Houser.
Thank you to all who participated in any way, even if you were a spectator along the road or even those of you who have ridden around Lake Fairways to appreciate the decorations. Without you this Parade would not have been possible.
In closing, my favorite phrase this season: Just remember what Lake Fairways Boulevard looked like on October 1st.
The Christmas Cart Parade will be on Monday and Tuesday evenings, December 12th and 13th.
The Parade will go into each Court with excursions into those cul-de-sacs where our shut-ins live.
We need to know where those shut-ins are no later than Sunday, December 11.
This is to give us time to plan the parade route.
In previous years kindhearted residents along the route have offered Christmas cheer to the paraders, this has led to carts getting lost and made the parade too long. We don't want to dampen anybody's' Christmas spirit, but it just creates problems.
There will be a gathering in the Clubhouse at the end of Tuesday's parade to celebrate the Christmas Season.
Decorated houses will be judged on Wednesday evening (12/14). In order to be eligible for judging, the house must be illuminated between 6PM and 8PM on Wednesday evening.
