Mailbox Post Light

Each homeowner is responsible for the mailbox post light. Please contact one of our local residents, Jack  239-543-6320, who will fix the light for free, if he can, but the residents must pay for any parts that are needed.

 

STREET LIGHTS

If there is a street light out you must get the number off the pole and the exact location and call or come to the Sales office so that it can be entered by Raina.

 Being the lights are on the property of Lake Fairways or Pine Lakes we need to do the form online.

Exact location-street etc is needed for accuracy, and once submitted it can take 7+-days to get it fixed.

SPEEDING WITHIN LAKE FAIRWAYS

If any resident sees vehicles traveling beyond the 15 MPH Please inform the HOA board of any on violators, so the board can confirm and address the situation with management.

Speeding is extremely dangerous for our walkers, bicycles, golf cart drivers, and pets walking with their masters.

Please, also tell your visitors or guests to obey the speed limit.

 


Horticulture Area

The horticulture area by the driving range is open on Wed and Fri from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM for residents only.  Please deposit only horticulture waste; please do not place tires or other garbage at the site.   Waste Pro will still pick up horticulture at your home on Monday, but it must be in a receptacle, bagged or bundled.

 

 

HOA Coffee Service

If you need a coffee service, please fill out a request form. These forms are found in the file on the communications room door in the hallway of the Clubhouse. (door next to the kitchen entrance.

All forms must be submitted one week in advance. When submitting a form for service you will received an invoice for the service with instructions on how to pay the HOA.

 Message from the HOA President

  

LAKE FAIRWAYS HOME OWNERS MESSAGE FOR APRIL WEB PAGE

 

It seems like yesterday we said “Hello” to our Snow Birds and now we are bidding them “Farewell”.  Have a safe trip home. We will be looking forward to your return.

Please remember when you are closing your home for the season to bring all outside equipment and furniture in. Florida is known for its’ strong summer storms and it doesn’t take a hurricane to have these objects become missiles and do lot of damage. The same applies to the grass. Once the rains begin the grass grows right before your eyes. Make the necessary arrangements for these things before you leave.

Also, the club house storage room needs to be cleaned up.  Will the Presidents of our various clubs contact Bob, President of the Men’s Club (239-731-2091). The room is “BURSTING”, more than it can hold.

There are a lot of home improvement projects going on and the community is looking great. I have noticed many homes do not display the cul-de-sac number and house letter on the front of the house. This is the easiest way for someone to locate you. Street names and house numbers don’t work at all. You can find these number and letter decals almost anywhere. They are available at Walmart, and they are pretty reasonable.

The 2020-2021 H.O.A. membership is 680.  The voting for the H.O.A. Board was 245 votes, 35% of the community. The F.M.O. has 133 members. The Home Owners Budget will be presented to the Board of Directors at the April 7th meeting.

The Home Owners General Meeting, held on the 4th Tues. of the month will be discontinued for the summer months.  The next Home Owners General Meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7 PM in the main hall of the club house.  Residents who have a question or issue are encouraged to contact any HOA Board member, utilize the Fix-It Book in the copy room at the club house. Please  write clearly and include your name and phone number. Also, you can inform ELS by stopping into the sales office and speak with Raina, or call her 239-731-2900.

Littleton School will not be collecting empty computer cartridges any more. The person who has been in charge of that project wanted me to be sure to thank the residents who have supported this project for several years. The collection box in the copy room will be removed.

It is time for our 2020 – Community Photo Directory. We need a few residents to step up for this project. Lifetouch, the publisher will work with you. The main work will be to set up scheduling etc., I am confident I will be hearing from some residents.

Minutes of previous meeting were read and accepted.

Treasures report was read and accepted.

 

Bob Bennett introduced Kevin McCabe and Mary Lou Quevedo who are Chairmen and Co-Chairman of the Elections committee.  Kevin then told us the winners of the HOA Elections. Which were Judy Carson, Bill Fleckenstein, and Jerry White. Bob then introduced Jeff Belle the Park Manager. Jeff explained the pool closing 30 minutes after dark which is per the ELS agreement. He also mentioned that if someone decides to enter the pool or spa after hours, he will close the pool and spa indefinitely. He also said we are both in this together. It is not him verses the residents. We need to work together for the good of Lake Fairways. He said he will be the park manager for a long time, and he loves it here. Jeff also said that the Laundry Room will be getting two new washers and a dryer within the next two weeks. He also indicated his office is always open if you need to talk about something here in Lake Fairways. We have a new Concierge, Fran. She will be located at the clubhouse until the end of March. Her hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9AM to 2PM.

 

COMMENTS FROM ATTENDEES: 26-M VA Office on Diplomat Pkwy is offering $18.00 to work the US Censes.

15-G Sidewalk/cart path to dollar general is a hazard. Need to find out if it is legal for Golf Cart travel. Jeff Belle will investigate and report back to us about his findings.

2-L Corrections to the Resident Directory/Phone Book will only be two more days. So, if you have changes please provide now.

56-M I wrote in the fix-it book several days ago about the jets in the Hot Tub not working correctly. What is taking so long. It was reported to the Park Manager. Working on getting that corrected. The trees in the front of the Clubhouse are looking very bad because they are full of Air Ferns and need to be removed.

23-D Vice President of the Pickle Ball Club. There are now 50 players who are playing Pickle Ball and there is no court available at Lake Fairways. Pine Lakes has a course and we need one here as well. Suggested area would be down around the Sales Office area.

28-D Leaving Lake Fairways Blvd at the exit to Route 41 a Golf Cart cut right in front of me when I was making a right turn. Very dangerous and someone will be getting into an accident. Need signs posted in that area.

 54-D I want to thank the HOA Board for all they do for our Community.

Bob Bennett also talked about the Capex items that we requested for this year. Out of the 7 items we only receiving 3 of them.

 Motion was made to adjourn at 7:45 PM
